I am a pre-licensed clinical mental health counselor with a graduate degree in Expressive Arts Therapy from Lesley University. Over the past decade, I have had the privilege of working with diverse populations, using creative arts as a pathway for healing and emotional growth. My belief is that creativity, whether through art, movement, music, or words, can be a transformative force, fostering connection to oneself and the world around us.
My approach to therapy is grounded in a trauma-informed, person-centered, and strengths-based framework. I strive to create a safe, non-judgmental space where clients feel empowered to explore all aspects of their identity, experiences, and emotions. I value each individual's unique worldview, culture, and intersectionality, as these are essential in providing meaningful and respectful support in therapy.
I integrate various therapeutic techniques in my practice, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), psychoeducation, mindfulness, and expressive arts therapy. My work draws on the healing potential of art therapy, dance/movement therapy, music therapy, and bibliotherapy to help individuals express their emotions and make sense of their experiences in creative and cathartic ways.
Throughout my career, I have supported individuals across a wide range of experiences, including families navigating the challenges of childhood cancer and terminal illness, adolescents in recovery, veterans and service members, children who have experienced trauma, and the adolescent LGBTQIA+ community. My experience also spans a variety of mental health diagnoses, such as anxiety, depression, social anxiety, PTSD, Autism Spectrum Disorder, and ADHD.
I am currently in training to become certified in trauma-informed yoga and yoga teacher training, further enhancing my ability to support clients in cultivating mind-body awareness as part of their healing journey.
