I am a Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC) and have been working in the mental health field for several years. I hold a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology from Salem State University, and a Master’s degree in Mental Health Counseling from Suffolk University. I utilize an integrative approach which is rooted in a combination of evidence-based practices such as CBT and DBT techniques, combined with elements of feminist, humanistic, and psychodynamic theories.
I enjoy working with teens (13 and up) and young adults dealing with phase of life transitions, relationship issues, and exploring their identity. I also have a special interest in working with sexual and reproductive health issues, with topics ranging from infertility, grief/loss, and perinatal/postpartum mental health issues, to the transition of new parenthood and related parenting/relationship stressors. Outside of these specific interests, I have experience working with anxiety, depression, mood disorders, self-esteem issues, trauma/PTSD, identity development, sexuality exploration, LGBTQIA+, women's issues, and men’s issues.
I believe that humor and trust are important elements of the therapeutic relationship. My goal is to provide a safe and non-judgmental space for clients in order to help them gain an understanding of how their past as well as their current thoughts and behaviors may be affecting their well-being. I strive to support clients around challenging the stigmas they may face and to develop confidence in living their authentic life.
