I am a Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC) and Board Certified Dance/Movement Therapist (BC-DMT). I hold a Master’s in Clinical Mental Health Counseling with a specialization in Dance/Movement Therapy from Lesley University. I have experience working all ages and treatment goals related to bereavement, adjustment, interpersonal relationships, self-esteem, anxiety, and depression. Currently, I work primarily with teens and adults.
My philosophy is grounded in a Person Centered approach in order to allow each person to have a deeper understanding of themselves and work towards their own unique goals. I do not believe that there is “one size fits all” when it comes to therapy. I believe creating time to build a relationship with trust and open communication with a client is important to helping both myself and the client understand their own needs and to create a safe and non-judgmental space that will allow the client to create meaningful change and foster growth.
My approach is strength based and I use a combination of mindfulness, talk-therapy, body-based, and dance/movement therapy approaches in order for clients to see their strengths, to create a deeper understanding of themselves, to grow, and to work towards their goals.
