I am a Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC). I hold a Bachelor of Science in Human Services from Fitchburg State University and a Master of Education in Mental Heath Counseling with a concentration in trauma from Cambridge College. I have experience working in the mental health and substance abuse field in various treatment settings including inpatient and outpatient facilities and a correctional institution.
I work with clients to empower them and to identify their individual strengths and build upon these skills to assist them in working toward goals, alleviating challenges and finding healing and restoration. I utilize evidence-based approaches: Solution Focused Therapy, Motivational Interviewing, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), and Mindfulness and Relapse Prevention.
My goal as a therapist is to collaborate with clients in a manner that best fits their values, identity, and needs in an effort to create a trusting therapeutic relationship, mutual respect and a safe environment for people to share their stories and feel heard.
