I’m an Expressive Arts Therapist and Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC) with over ten years of experience working in the field of mental health and developmental differences. I received my Masters in Mental Health Counseling and Expressive Arts Therapy from Lesley University in 2019.
I believe in taking a collaborative approach to helping clients define and reach their goals. I work with a variety of diagnoses. I specialize in trauma and trauma-related disorders, mood disorders, personality disorders, as well as the intersection of mental health and developmental differences. I enjoy working with couples and families, supporting them to learn effective communication skills and practice attuning to one another. A major focus of my work is supporting clients to learn new ways of expressing themselves. Utilizing a non-verbal approach, I support clients to both discover, understand, and effectively advocate for their needs. Through the use of Expressive Arts I am able to support individual clients, families, and couples in understanding and exploring new perspectives. I utilize Sensory Motor Arousal Regulation Treatment (SMART) with children and families as a method to explore sensory inputs and model co-regulation techniques. Other treatment methods I use include CBT, the ARC Framework, and traditional talk therapy.
