Providing a warm, genuine, and empathic environment is my primary objective when working with clients. The therapeutic relationship is integral and establishing trust and safety within the context of therapy is of the foremost priority. My focus is to honor the strengths of each individual and provide support to identify and address client specific goals.
In my practice, I emphasize personal empowerment and the recognition of the person as the expert in his/her/themselves and of the most important role in progress and change. I aim to facilitate a space for clients to process emotions, gain skills to cope with everyday life stressors, and work toward personal growth.
I am a Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker and have experience working with all ages in outpatient, in-home, and emergency services settings. I currently focus on working with pre-teens, teens and adults. My training includes Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Trauma Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT), Person-Centered Therapy, Solution-Focused Therapy, and Mindfulness. I have worked extensively with anxiety, depression, mood disorders, trauma, parenting, and attachment. I have my M.S.W. with a concentration in Clinical Social Work and my B.A. in Psychology.
